The Kings Springs manufacturing process

King Springs' design process begins with an advanced CAD program, where the focus is on achieving maximum durability, the lowest possible weight, and optimal travel. The springs are designed with tapered wire and progressive pitch to ensure a perfect balance of comfort and performance.

King Springs uses X5K, a new generation of high-strength spring steel. This material is chosen for its ability to withstand higher operating stresses, resist sagging, and provide superior toughness and corrosion fatigue properties. The material undergoes a bar peeling process, in which 1mm is removed from the surface to eliminate defects. It is then tapered to achieve the desired shape, with up to 7mm removed from the parent material.

The springs are finished by being powder-coated with an epoxy finish. This coating enhances the springs' appearance and provides a durable protective layer that will certainly withstand the rigours of everyday use and competitive racing.
